“Social media can be used to educate young people.” I agree with this quote to an extent because social media websites have a lot of groups that users can join and ask questions for example if I needed to find out how to do something on Maya I can ask people in a group and I may get someone who is willing to help, in the other hand though there are a lot of trolls online which can make it harder to learn about things on social media. I think this article is credible/ valid because it’s on a website that is for Teens online.

“Social networking sites can help you make and keep friends.”  I agree with this quote because social media sites are made mainly for people to interact with one and other and for people to share with the world what they’re doing. I think that this is a valid quote but it is common sense because everyone knows that social media is used for communicating with people from all around the world and is also a great way to keep in contact with old friends.

I think that this quote is valid because it is factual and can be proven by looking on social media websites and seeing the vast number of art, creations and inventions that can be very inspirational for people.

‘Research suggests that young people who spend more than 2 hours per day on social media are more likely to report poor mental health” I agree with this quote because social media has a big effect on teenagers for example social media is used by companies to advertise their products like clothing which could lead people thinking a certain body shape is the correct one. I think this quote is valid because it says that they have research behind what they’re saying.

They think about themselves and mainly in a bad way for example social media makes people think there is a specific way you’re meant to be. “People use social media to vent about everything from customer service to politics, but the downside to this is that our feeds often resemble an endless stream of stress. In 2015, researchers at the Pew Research Center based in Washington DC sought to find out if social media induces more stress than it relieves.”  I agree with this quote because social media is a place for the world to give their opinions and sometimes these opinions can cause conflict between users. This quote is very valid as the article writer has stated where they have got the information from and has quoted what the research found out about social media.
